About Me
My name is Beija Mosqueda. I am an aspiring student majoring in Emerging Media at the University of Central Florida. Although the ultimate goal of my education would put me on a path to working my way through animation studios into a stable career, in the mean time I am working part time and producing and selling personal works. I have also begun a side business dealing with my second passion, salt water aquariums.
Education
I earned my Associates degree at Miami Dade Community College and am currently working on my Bachelors degree in Emerging Media and specializing in character animation. I am completing my preliminary courses so that I may move on to the intensive downtown animation program and get closer to my dream career.
Work Experience
As far as the world of art goes my experience has been mostly traditional. Meaning that primarily I have worked with physical media, including drawing an painting. My experience extends to tablet works as well as multiple image editing and manipulation programs including but not limited to Photoshop, Paint Tool Sai, Illustrator and others. I plan on extending my experience both through self-discipline as well as any thing I can master through my education.
Aspirations
Upon completing my education at UCF I intend to master my trade by working through smaller animations studios first. I understand the competitive world of not only art but of animation so I know that a sure entrance into a more prestigious studio may not be an easy option. Through working with small studios I can not only make a name for myself but I can hone my own skills by learning and developing my technique with other talented animators until I can move to a more major studio. I have yet to decide exactly which studio I plan to work towards but I do have some companies in mind.
